Now I was wondering why that waas, because one would think with Airline pilots, that ALOT of RESPECT would go to them, because they have one of the most demanding and difficult jobs out there. But I was surprised to see that there are women that have negative views on pilots i don't know why. Personal flying is lots of fun and I would enjoy meeting someone who also likes small aircraft. Day trips to Block Island, the Vineyard, Nantucket and other points around the Northeast are fun. I used to fly small aircraft, and enjoyed many fun day trips over the years. As for airline pilots I haven't dated any but I've known some over the years. They are like any other people. Some are real jerks while others are wonderful people. Writing off a whole group of people based on the occupation is ridiculous. Its like any other line of work... Its more of a personality issue than a professional one. I know lots of pilots.... I can only remember one with a God complex, and he was Airforce... Sounds like that person people are attracting the wrong types in the first place.... I hate to say this but it rings true to me. I'm talking maybe 30 of them that I have met. They aren't even carrying people. They brag about how much money they make and seem very full of themselves. I work with some like that, and i dont even like them. I have been single for a while. Between the hours i keep, and being away for days on end it is hard to date. People will not be what we are looking for no matter what they do for living, and that is just a fact. Dont be so hadr on the nice guys like me. Other than that, they're mostly just regular folks with better-than average incomes, for now, anyway worse-than-average schedules and the whole variety of personalities - arrogant, insecure, and everything in between. Although they do tend to have their own unique sense of humor - partly because of the stress and boredom of the job, partly because the boss is a thousand miles away and they see him only a few times a year, and partly, I'm sure, just because they're in the unique situation of being able to get away with it. It saddens me that people stereotype people based on their jobs! Had I had the same attitude I would have missed out on a wonderful friendship. I am open to being with a guy who treats me right, has a steady job, and is a kind, loving, honest and caring man. It doesn't matter if he's a doctor, pilot or musician.
